Moraig Fault

This fault is a spectacular near-vertical rock wall. The polished appearance and stretch marks were formed by the friction of tectonic plates, indicating the direction of the geological movement, which originated it. The failure seems to be suspended in the air above a pond, which in its interior hide the underwater entrance to the Riu Blanc.

The morphology of the cliff line and different material resistance to the erosion that formed this slope also formed other interesting milestones as the «Vasenilla» (dolina of collapse) or the Cova dels Arcs, in a few meters distance.
