Description

The festive calendar begins in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell with the celebration of "Sant Antoni del Porquet", which has traditionally been linked to the blessing of animals (coinciding with the name day of San Antón, on January 17).

The Association of Cavallistes i Carreters del Poble Nou de Benitatxell has managed to revive this festivity and, in recent years, has turned this celebration into a participatory day in which it is common to go out into the street and enjoy a popular lunch, enjoy a characteristic parade through the streets of the town, with the involvement of neighbors and animal lovers from all over Marina Alta. Stables and a multitude of domestic animals are the protagonists of this traditional festive day.

The festival usually takes place at the end of January or beginning of February. See the exact date on the calendar annual. The footpath leads to a viewpoint where is sighted, to the north, the entire beach of Moraig from a new perspective, with the Cap de la Nau in the background. We end up at an area of geological interest, the fault, the diary or in the tourist office.
