The current building of the Town Hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell was inaugurated on March 11, 1988. Previously, municipal schools were placed in this space. Town Hall is located at the end of the Calle Mayor (No. 5) near the Church, the municipal market and the Tourist office.
The building is divided into three floors, distributed into administration areas for Town Hall, Urban planning services and other technical services, the Court of peace and the plenary Hall. Its facade contains typical building materials of the area such as the rough stone Tosca. The old coat of arms which was replaced in the 1990, according to Heraldic studies, still remains on the top floor. A shield that was placed a few years ago at the Centre of the square of the Church, reproduced in large dimensions with multi-coloured terrazzo tiles.
Some services of the municipal administration, currently, had to be dislocate of this building by its structure similar to a House and its limited dimensions. This belongs to social services, the library, the Agency of Local development, the School of Music and Dance, the multifunctional Cultural space Abiar and the Social Center.
