Discover this place

The Mirador del Cim del Puig Llorença is located at one of the highest points of Puig Llorença, around 440 metres above sea level. Its privileged position, just 1.5 kilometres from the coast in a straight line, offers an extraordinary 360-degree panorama over the Mediterranean, the Marina Alta and the neighbouring regions.

A 360-degree panorama

From the summit, the view extends across much of the Marina Alta and reaches the neighbouring regions of the Marina Baixa and La Safor.

The breadth of the panorama makes it possible to identify some of the great landmarks of the Alicante and Valencian landscapes, including Montgó, Cap de Sant Antoni, Cap de la Nau and Penyal d’Ifac, together with numerous mountain ranges, valleys and inland towns.

To the south, the panorama follows the coastline of Teulada-Moraira, Benissa and Calp, reaching as far as Altea and Benidorm when conditions are favourable.

The Mediterranean on both sides

One of the most distinctive experiences from the Mirador del Cim is the sensation of seeing the Mediterranean in different directions. The narrow shape of the Serra de la Llorença and the summit’s elevated position make it possible to see the sea beyond both sides of the ridge.

To the north, on days with exceptional visibility, the eye can follow much of the Valencian coastline towards the Gulf of Valencia.

This remarkable position provides an excellent understanding of Benitatxell’s geography: a narrow mountain ridge rising between the town and a coastline dominated by towering cliffs.

The Balearic Islands on the horizon

On particularly clear days and under favourable atmospheric conditions, the Balearic Islands can be seen on the horizon from the summit, with the silhouette of Ibiza emerging above the Mediterranean.

The possibility of seeing land on the other side of the sea reinforces the extraordinary breadth of the panorama and highlights Benitatxell’s privileged position on the eastern edge of the Alicante coast.

A viewpoint for understanding the landscape

Rather than offering a single view, the Mirador del Cim del Puig Llorença provides a complete perspective of the surrounding landscape. From one point, visitors can take in the Mediterranean, the major mountain formations of the Marina Alta, the inland territory and the succession of ranges extending towards the neighbouring regions.

Nearby is the Mirador del Puig Llorença, mainly oriented towards the southern coastline and offering a complementary perspective to the panorama from the summit.

The Mirador del Cim del Puig Llorença is therefore one of the great natural balconies of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell: 440 metres above sea level, a 360-degree panorama and the Mediterranean stretching towards the horizon.
